As you wander through the village, the legend of the fairy Mélusine comes to life. Alleys, walls, church, remains of the castle... each place becomes the setting for an episode in the story. From mysterious builder to betrayed snake-woman: as the story unfolds, the heritage sheds light on the legend, and the legend gives new meaning to the stones. We imagine the vanished fortress, life in the city, its hours of glory and its dark hours. Visible traces interact with the marvellous. An immersive visit, at the crossroads of the real and the imaginary, to understand how the legend of Mélusine continues to shape the identity of Vouvant. Each ticket includes a self-guided tour of the Mélusine Tower. Pass through the two rooms of the keep before reaching the top: at a height of 36 metres, the panorama opens out over Vouvant and its surroundings. WEDNESDAYS FROM 8 JULY TO 26 AUGUST - 3.00pm - Meeting point: In front of the Tourist Office - Place du Bail - 85120 VOUVANT - Duration: 1 hour - Open to all: children from 8 years of age recommended - Limited places: booking essential at the Tourist Office TOUR INSTRUCTIONS : - Please arrive with your ticket 10 minutes before the start of the tour. - Bring appropriate footwear and clothing, as the tour is outdoors. - Minors are the responsibility of their parents - Online ticketing stops 1 hour before the visit - The Office de Tourisme Vendée Marais Poitevin reserves the right to change or cancel any tour.
