Description
Join Ludovic to discover a village where every stone has its own story....
The village of Vouvant is an open book. A walled-in opening, torn-out stones, a carved gateway... Every stone tells a story. This guided tour invites you to look at the traces of the past. Look for them. Decipher. Formulate your own hypotheses.
From the ramparts to the facades, from the sculptures in the church to the dungeon, you can retrace the steps of time. Why is this opening so high? What was the Mélusine tower used for? Who lived here? What was the village like in days gone by?
The stones bear witness to different eras, customs, fears, wealth and daily life.
A visit accessible to all, where we move from the visible to the invisible. To observe. To understand. Imagine. And suddenly, the village comes alive before your very eyes!
Each ticket includes a self-guided tour of the Mélusine Tower. Pass through the two rooms of the keep before reaching the top: at a height of 36 metres, the panorama opens out over Vouvant and its surroundings.
