The Département de la Vendée invites young and old alike to take part in a fun and interactive scientific adventure. Discover the "How does it work? The mechanics of everyday life" at the Vendéthèque in La Châtaigneraie.
Learn by playing, understand by manipulating: science becomes concrete, lively and fun.
-When the simplest objects reveal their genius
Wheelbarrows, scissors, screws, bicycles... Behind the objects we use every day lie scientific principles that are fascinating to discover.
The "How does it work? The mechanics of everyday life" invites us to take a fresh look at the objects we use every day, and to understand the laws of physics that make our lives easier.
- Observe, manipulate, experiment... and have fun!
Designed for all the family, this exhibition turns visitors into scientists, engineers and inventors for a day. Test simple machines (levers, pulleys, gears), take on mechanical challenges and experiment with the concepts of force and movement.
Mechanical challenges, chain reactions, wacky machines in the style of Goldberg's machines... Everyone is invited to try, tinker and imagine their own devices!
