71st edition of the Biennale - A much-anticipated festive event in Fontenay-le-Comte, the Biennale returns on 23 and 24 May 2026 for a weekend of festivities throughout the town.
Parades of floral floats representing the different districts of Fontenay-le-Comte, free concerts, entertainment, food and lots of surprises.
Programme details:
- Saturday 23rd May
The festivities kick off at 3pm in Place de Verdun, with the opening of stalls run by the town's neighbourhoods.
The day will continue with the Run Color, a festive 5km race with no stopwatch or ranking, organised on the Plaine des Sports. Participants will be sprayed with coloured powder by spectators along the route.
Timetable:
5 p.m.: collective warm-up
5:30 p.m.: First start
7 p.m.: flash mob and final dance
The evening continues with free open-air concerts.
The line-up includes
La Petite Culotte, performer of the popular song La Goffa Lolita

A light show put on by the twin city of Krotoszyn will illuminate the evening, before DJ Florum performs his DJ set.
- Sunday 24th May
The traditional parade of floral floats from all the town's districts will set off:
at 2pm for the daytime parade
at 10pm for the night-time parade
Fanfare, bandas and percussion groups will accompany the floats along the route.
The festival closes with a fireworks display at 1am.
