United States. During the deliberations of a trial, 12 men are given the responsibility of judging a young man accused of parricide. While 11 of them are convinced that he is guilty, one juror has doubts. A unanimous verdict is required.
A life is in their hands. It's acquittal or the electric chair. The tension is palpable as we witness a courtroom drama in which the intelligence, humanity and perseverance of one man undermine the certainties and prejudices of the other 11 jurors, each of whom is influenced by his or her own personal story.
This adaptation revisits American playwright Reginald Rose's masterpiece Twelve Angry Men, written in 1953 and adapted for the screen by Sydney Lumet four years later.
