Not necessarily. A presentation of the equipment and rules is given before the start to allow everyone to take part.

Participants have maps and compasses to follow the route and find the markers.

Is there free parking close to the start of the activity?

Yes, you can park for free in the parking spaces provided along the Route Touristique. The activity starts directly from the nearby Base de Loisirs.

Can I get to the start of the event by bus? Is there authorised parking for buses?

Yes, the bus can drop you off directly in front of the Leisure Centre and park free of charge in the designated spaces.

Are there toilets close to the starting point?

Toilets are available at the Leisure Centre, depending on opening times.

After a short introduction to the rules of orienteering, everyone pitches in to find the markers hidden in this vast forest. Combining team spirit, observation skills and a sporting challenge, this life-size game promises to be a dynamic experience among the hundred-year-old oaks. It’s an ideal activity for team-building… and for awakening the explorer in everyone.

The programme

Briefing and team preparation

Before you set off, a briefing will explain the rules of orienteering and help you get to grips with the equipment provided. Maps and compasses become your best allies in finding your way through the forest. The aim: to understand the route and prepare your team’s strategy.

Looking for the markers

Time for adventure. Each team follows its own route to locate the beacons hidden in the forest. Orientation, observation and teamwork are essential to move forward efficiently and avoid unnecessary detours.

A nature challenge in the heart of the forest

The race takes you through one of the oldest parts of the Mervent-Vouvant forest, between hundred-year-old oaks and forest paths. It’s the ideal setting for a fun, sporting activity in the heart of nature, while enjoying a moment of group bonding.
