Yes, the bus can drop you off in front of the château gate. The bus driver can then turn around in front of the gate and park free of charge in Place Viète or Place de Verdun.

An exceptional Renaissance château

Built at the end of the 16ᵉ century for Nicolas Rapin, Château de Terre-Neuve is one of the finest examples of Renaissance architecture in the Vendée. What makes it special is that it is both an inhabited private residence and a site open to the public. This uniqueness lends an authentic, warm atmosphere to the visit.

Remarkable works of art

Throughout the tour, the guide highlights unique features such as the alchemical fireplace with its mysterious symbols, sculpted ceilings, gilded decorations and historic woodwork. Each room tells its own story, revealing the taste of successive owners for art and collecting.
