In the footsteps of two great figures of the 20ᵉ century
In Mouilleron-Saint-Germain, you don’t contemplate history from a distance: you discover it, step by step. This tour takes you to the heart of a singular national museum, made up of two birthplaces just a few metres apart. On one side, Georges Clemenceau, architect of the 1918 Victory. On the other, Marshal Jean de Lattre de Tassigny, who signed the surrender on 8 May 1945.
Two major destinies of the 20ᵉ century, told through places that were once inhabited, everyday objects and embodied stories, in a typical village in the Vendée bocage.
