Once Upon a Tea is an independent coffee shop in Maillezais, designed as a place to relax, get to know other people and discover new things about tea.

Situated in the heart of the Marais Poitevin Regional Nature Park, the village of Maillezais enjoys a remarkable natural and tourist environment. The Once Upon a Tea coffee shop is just 500 metres from the famous Maillezais Abbey and the landing stages for exploring the marsh by boat.

The establishment offers a careful selection of quality coffees, teas and infusions, accompanied by homemade sweets. Brunch is also available on Sundays, by prior arrangement, using fresh produce and local producers wherever possible.

The atmosphere is warm, natural and soothing, inspired by the world of cocooning. The aim is to offer a space where people can take a break and share a moment of conviviality. Designed on a human scale, Once Upon a Tea welcomes locals and visitors alike.

In addition to the restaurant, a shop offers a selection of teas, coffees, tableware, regional products and gift ideas.

The establishment is also a partner of the Fédération Française des Associations et Clubs de Camping-Cars (FFACCC) and welcomes member motorhome owners when they visit the region.

Our ambition is to make Once Upon a Tea a real local place where quality, conviviality and well-being meet, so that every visit becomes a gentle and inspiring interlude in the heart of the Marais Poitevin.
