Lecture by Roland Mornet
Roland Mornet was born in 1945 in La Chaume, a district of Les Sables d'Olonne.
He embarked as a ship's boy at the age of 14, on a tuna boat.
He spent most of his career as an officer on oceanographic vessels (notably IFREMER), including 24 years in command.
Since retiring, he has written numerous articles and published ten books.
