1984: Lulu and Jeannot gradually empty the house of Claude, Lulu's father, who died in the Indochina war.
Lulu was brought up by her uncle Jeannot.
A retired soldier, Jeannot is a likeable and rather jolly fellow who lives in the memory of his dead brother and devotes himself body and soul to his collection of mopeds.
