Would you like to discover a show that brings together classical music, literature and a reflection on our relationship with nature and society?

On the piano, Patrick Scheyder (creator of this show) plays pieces from the classical repertoire and combines them with Kabyle songs and tales by Abdelghani Benhelal, as well as texts read by Allain Bougrain-Dubourg. It's all about ecology from a historical and artistic perspective. Texts by the likes of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Chateaubriand, Colette, the Seattle Indian chief and George Sand show just how far back in time these concerns are rooted.

Through poignant anecdotes and captivating performances, these three artists will take you on a visual and aural journey, where laughter mingles with profound reflections on our urban world. This perspective shows that our concerns about preserving nature have been with us for a long time. Far from raising the spectre of a catastrophic ecology, Des jardins et des hommes gives viewers the tools to approach ecology in a positive and sensitive way.
