Help preserve the Marais Poitevin

The Marais Poitevin, with its tree-lined canals, floodplain meadows and rows of plants, is a unique setting in the Vendée. But this landscape, which you are admiring today, is fragile. The pollarded ash trees, emblematic silhouettes of the wet marshes, are now threatened by a disease: chalarosis. These trees are slowly disappearing.

Faced with this reality, a campaign is being organised. The Marais Poitevin Regional Nature Park and the Fondation du Patrimoine have launched a major operation to replant, diversify and rebuild the landscape of tomorrow.

The good news is that getting involved here requires no special effort. Your leisure activities become useful gestures.

Take a boat trip without a guide at one of our partner piers, and €0.50 will be donated to tree planting.
