Your adventure in detail

The call of the marsh: first turns of the wheel

Your mission begins with a simple and reassuring handover: helmet fitted, electric scooter ready to bounce, and a guide to get you in the mood. After a few metres of testing, you set off along the towpaths, as close as possible to the canals. The landscape slowly opens up: mirrors of water, wild grasses, the canopy of pollarded ash trees… You glide along in silence in a soothing, almost mystical atmosphere. Before you know it, you’ve got a feeling of freedom: the Marais Poitevin seems to accept you into its kingdom.

Bridges, canals and secret passages: the adventure takes shape

The walk comes alive as you take on the little challenges of the terrain. You cross small bridges, skirt discreet canals and discover small ports nestling in the landscape. Every bend reveals a new scene: a heron taking off, a golden reflection on the water, a shady path winding through the trees. The guide shares anecdotes about the area, stories about market gardening and curiosities about the marsh. Nothing technical, just the right amount of emotion to make you feel fully adventurous, lulled by discovery and movement.

The return of the hero: a gentle, proud epic

The dirt paths sometimes become more playful, but always accessible: a damp passage, a few roots, a sharp bend… Enough to awaken the hero in you. Your all-terrain electric scooter takes it all in, giving you the sensation of floating above the ground. Then the pace slows down, the light changes and the canals calm down. You return to your starting point with a frank smile on your face: you’ve just experienced the Marais Poitevin in a different way, on your feet, free, carried by an authentic and generous nature. A simple, beautiful and proudly accomplished adventure.

Good advice from the Tourist Office!

Book early, especially in summer

Outings are for small groups, so it’s best to book early, especially at weekends.

Make sure you’re well equipped

Wear closed shoes and bring a small rucksack: water, sunglasses, camera… the marshes are very photogenic.

Take a break during the walk

The Marais Poitevin has a unique soundscape: birds, wind in the ash trees and a thousand discreet sounds of nature. Take 30 seconds to put your scooter down, breathe and listen. A true nature interlude.
