Discover the Châtaigneraie region on foot (or mountain bike) for a weekend on the Chemin des Châtaignes. Unspoilt, undulating trails will punctuate your "hiking break".
The Chemin des Châtaignes (Chestnut Trail) is a fully signposted 80-kilometre walk or mountain bike ride through the bocage of the Vendée.
Along the way, you'll pass through Mouilleron-Saint-Germain, the birthplace of two great men: Georges Clemenceau and Marshal De Lattre de Tassigny. You'll be able to admire the natural sites: Colline des Moulins, old quarries, rivers and mills...
And what could be more astonishing than travelling through the solar system on board a brand new planetarium set up in the small town of La Chapelle-aux-Lys?
So get your boots on (or your mountain bike) and set off to explore our beautiful Vendée bocage!
