An evening stroll along the Sèvre to discover the tableaux vivants

Maillé au fil de l'eau is a village festival that takes place every 2 years, in even-numbered years, on the first Friday in August. Friday 7 August 2026 will be the fifteenth edition. The festival takes place on the harbour in the commune of Maillé in the south of the Vendée, with entertainment throughout the evening, and offers a restaurant service, the sale of prefou and a refreshment bar. So far, nothing very original. The special feature of our festival is the night boat trips along the Sèvre, which allow visitors to admire the paintings illuminated and animated by volunteers from Maillé. Maillé's associations (L'Ensemble musical, la Cavalerie d'Agrippa, l'amicale des pompiers) take part in this event by animating the paintings. It's a magical show, a unique concept where it's the spectators, seated in the boats, gliding silently along the Sèvre, who pass in front of the show, not the show which passes in front of the spectators. The festivities open at 6pm in the port of Maillé, with the first boats boarding at 9pm. Rotation until midnight. No booking required: €7/adult and €4/child Refreshment bar, prefou, restaurant on the port.
