A full day exploring the roots, styles and essence of Dominican dance. AFTERNOON MASTERCLASS 1.45pm: Doors open 2.15pm - 3.15pm: Bolero - back to the roots. A rare opportunity to delve into the origins of Bachata: connection, musicality and subtle movement. All levels. 3.30pm - 4.30pm: Bachata. Flow, sentimiento & musicality - Part 1 16.45 - 17.45: Bachata. Flow, sentimiento & musicality - Part 2 During the 2 hours of bachata, David will take you on an absolutely unique approach to musicality and style. These classes are for all levels, but it's important to have at least your basic bachata steps down. An approach based mainly on musical feeling. There will be a common thread running through the 2 hours. It's advisable to take both, but you can of course choose to do just one hour of your choice. 6pm - 7pm: BREAK A break where you can enjoy a varied playlist with a Latin American flavour if you want to keep dancing. Or an ideal break to freshen up and spruce up (no showers or changing rooms on site). 19h00 - 20h30: AFRO-CARIBBEAN MEAL A delicious Caribbean-style catered meal from Afro B Food (Niort). Reservations required when registering online: A single dish: rice base + marinated chicken or veggie (plantains) + sauce of your choice 12€ per dish for all Gourmet option with extra plantains: €2 One free drink with the meal. Dessert and drinks will be served in "auberge espagnole" style, so you can share a convivial moment. PRE-SOIRÉE 8.30pm - 9.30pm: Merengue initiation by Cibao. A festive, energetic class to get you in the mood for the evening. THE EVENING: A REAL LATIN PARTY It's time for a Latin American party. We vary the styles quickly, playing great classics from all over the continent: Dominican Republic, Colombia, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Cuba... 45% Bachata, 35% salsa, 20% merengue and Caribbean nuggets to dance, share, sing and vibrate together to an authentic selection of music.
