Description
The evening light illuminates a bouquet and its reflection in the mirror.
The days go by, the bouquet changes, the flowers fade, but whenever the sun shines on it, its beauty remains intact. The desire to capture these moments is what inspired this photographic series.
Wabi Sabi, the title I have chosen for this exhibition, is a Japanese philosophical and aesthetic concept.Wabi is the pleasure and fulfilment derived from contemplating the simple things of nature; Sabi is the sensation one feels when faced with the beauty of imperfect things, worn by time or weathered by human hands.
This series is an invitation to a life of happy simplicity and to appreciate simple, modest or imperfect things.
