Description
An event organised as part of the European Heritage Days by the ‘Ville d’art et d’histoire’ department of Fontenay-le-Comte.
Students at the MFR La Louisière in Les Herbiers were once again invited to take a thoughtful look at two of the town’s iconic sites, showcasing them through temporary floral displays.
Over the course of several weeks, these young trainees devised and designed floral arrangements specifically intended to engage with the history and architecture of the chosen sites:
- The interior of Notre-Dame Church
- The wedding hall and the ironwork on the Town Hall gateway.
Through this project, the students did more than simply decorate the sites with flowers. They observed, understood and interpreted the heritage, adding a touch of freshness, elegance and creativity. The result: a poetic, colourful trail that invites visitors to rediscover Fontenay from a new perspective, at the crossroads of horticultural expertise and heritage promotion.
