The Fairy of Vouvant needs your help! Brave budding Lancelots, it’s time to don your knight’s armour: the fairy Mélusine, founder of Vouvant (according to legend), is waiting for you!

A FUN AND IMMERSIVE TOUR... The tour offers an immersive exploration of the ancient Château de Vouvant through historical and architectural content, quizzes, mini-games and virtual reality views. Guided by the fairy Mélusine, explore the history of the Mélusine Tower and discover how to prepare the castle’s defences before the arrival of the French king’s army! ‘Historical error! Our time-traveller, the fairy Mélusine, has changed the course of history. You’ve been whisked back to 1242 for a historical adventure with a capital H and a breathtaking climb where the defence of Vouvant Castle hangs in the balance! A virtual reality experience that comes at just the right time to plunge you straight into the ranks of the fairy Mélusine’s troops, who are on high alert. We’re counting on you! Will you be able to save Mélusine Tower?” ********************* Meeting point: Vouvant Tourist Office, Place du Bail, 85120 Vouvant Times: in accordance with the opening hours of the Vouvant Tourist Office (check the 2026 timetable) Route: Place du Bail (former castle courtyard) and inside Mélusine Tower (except for the PRM kit) Duration: approximately 1 hour Suitable for: ages 7 and over Online booking is available up to 1 hour before your selected time slot. Other time slots may be available if you turn up in person at the Tourist Office. Special European Heritage Days rates (-50%): - Kit (4 people): €6.00 - Additional kit (4 people): €3.00 - PRM kit: €3.00 PRACTICAL INFORMATION: - Please arrive no later than 1½ hours before the Tourist Information Office closes - Please bring your own smartphone(s) with a fully charged battery - The tour takes place mainly outdoors - A version of the tour adapted for people with reduced mobility is available - Access to the Mélusine Tower is limited to 25 people at any one time - Dogs on a lead are permitted in the Mélusine Tower HOW DOES A KIT WORK? 1 kit is valid for up to 4 people, for 1 smartphone, i.e. 1 rented Cardboard virtual reality headset Each kit includes: - the download code for the tour - hire of a Cardboard virtual reality headset - hire of a key to enter the Mélusine Tower (except for the PRM kit) The additional kit, priced at €3.00, can only be booked after purchasing an initial kit for €6.00.
