An event held as part of the European Heritage Days, organised by the ‘Ville d’art et d’histoire’ department in Fontenay-le-Comte.

Armed with a booklet, set off on your own to discover the town’s treasures through two fun treasure hunts specially designed for young explorers and their families. ‘Treasure Hunt in Fontenay-le-Comte: The Pirate’s Treasure’ Explore the historic quarter in search of clues and help the museum curator find the missing words on a mysterious parchment. Your mission: to locate a treasure hidden in the 18th century by a privateer. “In the Footsteps of the Renaissance” Join Pierre, a young page to King François I, as he explores Fontenay-le-Comte. By observing the details of Renaissance architecture, help him complete his sketchbook to carry out the mission entrusted to him: to design a magnificent castle for the King. *************************** Visit the Tourist Office to collect your treasure hunt booklet Duration: 1½ to 2 hours Free only during European Heritage Days (€5 per booklet the rest of the year)
