It all starts at the Tourist Office in Fontenay-le-Comte, where you’ll be given your kit. Inside: 1 orienteering map, 1 town exploration map and 1 compass with a magnifying glass. Just the essentials to set off on your mission: walk, observe, cooperate. No screens here. Just you, the map and the town to explore. Your objective is clear: to collect stamps at every point along the route. The 10 checkpoints are spread across a defined area of the historic centre. They can be visited in any order. Strategists, it’s up to you to choose your route. ********************* Meeting point: Fontenay-le-Comte Tourist Office, Place de Verdun, 85200 Fontenay-le-Comte Opening hours on Saturday and Sunday during Heritage Days: 10.00–12.30 & 14.00–18.00 (rental closes 1½ hours before closing time). Route: through the historic centre of Fontenay-le-Comte Duration: 45 mins to 1 hour 30 mins (depending on your pace) Suitable for: ages 8 and over (recommended age) Online booking is available up to 1 hour before your selected time slot. Other time slots are available if you visit the Tourist Office in person. Special Heritage Days rates (50% off): Kit (4 people): €6.00 Additional kit (4 people): €3.00 PRACTICAL INFORMATION: - Please arrive no later than 1½ hours before the Tourist Office closes to purchase your kit - The trail takes place entirely outdoors - The trail is suitable for people with reduced mobility and pushchairs - It’s up to you to decide in which order you’ll set off in search of the 10 checkpoints to make the most of the trail HOW DOES A KIT WORK? - 1 kit is valid for up to 4 people to ensure you get the most out of the activity. - Each kit includes: - 1 map of the route with marker locations - 1 compass with built-in magnifying glass - 1 city discovery map An additional kit, priced at €3.00, can only be booked after purchasing an initial kit for €6.00.
