Arts by Nature: come and discover wines that celebrate gastronomy and memory
Saturdays 1 and 8 August at 7.00 pm, over a Vendée-style ‘mâchon’ (local produce, charcuterie and cheeses)
Come and discover the estate’s gastronomic and Mémoire® wines and enjoy them as part of a food and wine pairing.
Take a stroll with Christian Chabirand, the vineyard’s founder, and Sylvie Saint-Cyr, the Festival’s artistic director and hostess, as you explore the estate and its secrets.
Come and enjoy a 15ha organically certified vineyard, created from scratch on a former island in the Marais Poitevin, at the heart of 45ha of unspoilt natural surroundings.
Christian Chabirand and Sylvie Saint-Cyr will tell you all about this unique adventure, which began in 1997: its unspoilt flora and fauna, and its secrets inspired by the arts and the great stories of the region….
Creating a vineyard from scratch on land that had never before been planted with vines, on a former island in the Marais Poitevin, was undoubtedly a somewhat mad venture! …Stone by stone, harvest after harvest, with expertise and passion in their very blood, the team at Domaine Prieuré La Chaume has succeeded in crafting and nurturing wines that truly reflect the character of the place and exude the terroir. Organic wines vinified using the ‘méthode nature’ (Vins Méthode Nature – VMN), gastronomic wines that now grace the finest tables in France.
Christian Chabirand invites you to discover and taste some of his finest vintages, paired with food.
Wonderful stories to share, exploring Nature, Culture and biodiversity.
(Wine tasting accompanied by platters of local charcuterie and cheeses)
