Description
Music
For this fourth edition, Ma Région Virtuose is continuing to pursue its ambition: to bring classical music to local people throughout the region. This year, the festival is celebrating those works from the great classical repertoire which, through the medium of cinema, have left a lasting mark on our collective imagination.
Supported by the Pays de la Loire Region and more than 50 partner local authorities, the festival offers a programme that is both sophisticated and accessible, designed for audiences of all ages. From Ludwig van Beethoven to Johann Sebastian Bach, via Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Richard Strauss, certain classical works have found new resonance on the screen, becoming inextricably linked to scenes that have achieved cult status.
The festival invites you to rediscover them in all their richness, by returning to the concert experience.
Concerts will take place in concert halls from the 22nd to the 24th, as well as in everyday settings — on public transport, in secondary schools, village squares and shopping centres — throughout January, with classical music
spreads across the whole region, forging links between cinematic memory and live performance.
Through a variety of formats and experiences open to all, Ma Région Virtuose celebrates musical excellence, showcases amateur musicians, engages with young people and invites everyone to rediscover the pleasure of a concert, enriched by the images and emotions of cinema.
