Description
Concert organised by the Le Camembert association
Jazz fans will no doubt have already come across the singer, Marie Carrié, on stages across France. With her heart torn between swing and Brazilian music, she has accustomed us to blending styles with ease and natural flair. But with this quartet, she will devote her repertoire exclusively to Brazilian music and pay tribute to its great composers.
From Antonio Carlos Jobim’s bossa nova to Djavan’s popular music, via samba, Marie Carrié’s Quartet takes you on a journey through Brazil, across space and time.
For this adventure, she will be joined by Yann Penichou, a musician who also embodies this ‘dual culture’, and a rhythm section that is a benchmark in Brazilian music.
Marie Carrié: Vocals
Yann Penichou: Guitar
Gerson Saeki: double bass, bass guitar
Miguel Couto: Drums
