Description
A historical show showcasing the skills and techniques of medieval builders.
In 1834, Maillezais Abbey was owned by an indebted farmer known for having demolished the Abbey. Madame Jousseaume, his mother-in-law, encouraged everyone she met to buy the remaining stones from the abbey. She needed money to leave and start a new life. It was then that a man raised his hand. He bought everything. He was a mad architect.
From 4 July to 20 August, Sunday to Thursday at 11.30am, 4.15pm and 5.15pm.
