Description
Join Ludovic to discover a village where every stone has its own story....
In Vouvant, the village is an open-air history book. A bricked-up opening, dislodged stones, a carved gateway… Every stone tells a story. This guided tour invites you to explore the traces of the past. We search. We decipher. We put forward hypotheses.
From the ramparts to the façades, from the church’s sculptures to the keep, we trace the thread of time. Why is this opening so high? What was the Mélusine Tower used for? Who lived here? What did the village look like in the past?
The stones bear witness to eras, customs, fears, wealth and everyday life.
A tour accessible to all, where we move from the visible to the invisible. Observe. Understand. Imagine. And suddenly, the village comes back to life before your very eyes!
Each ticket includes a self-guided tour of the Mélusine Tower. Walk through the two rooms of the keep before reaching the top: at a height of 36 metres, the panoramic view opens out over Vouvant and its surroundings.
