In the west of the canton of Hermenault, there are just over 40 km of quiet tarmac roads between the plains and the bocage. Rivers and streams abound at the bottom of the small valleys carved into the landscape. Numerous small villages display their character, with religious monuments, castles, mills, hamlets and bourgeois houses all along the route.
