Walk from the village of Fontaines (Doix lès Fontaines) to the terrées separated by a network of canals and the Bois de Billaude (difficult to access in winter, with some passages too wet or even flooded).
Terrées, or "trailles" in Maraîchin dialect, are plantations of pollarded ash trees arranged in long parallel strips bordered by shallow ditches. They are also home to a botanically rich ecosystem.
On this trail, you can discover burdock, purple loosestrife, marsh fireweed and, in early spring, the magnificent flowering of the marsh iris.
You will also discover the Bois de Billaude in Doix.
Departure point: Car park at the Fontaines multi-purpose hall (Doix lès Fontaines), rue du Stade and place de la Mairie.
Markings: yellow
Elevation gain: 18 m
Picnic areas at the start and middle of the walk with WC.
