La Ferme du Marais Poitevin

At the very beginning of the project, we find Pascal, the father. Then his daughter Mauve joined him and developed the farm as you see it today: She has set herself a mission: to preserve and present old breeds with low numbers: Marans hens, grey marsh geese, Poitou bullocks, Solognot ewes... But the Ferme du Marais Poitevin is more than just an educational farm: it's also a real livestock farm, committed to an agro-ecology approach and certified Organic Farming. Accompanied by Jérôme, her companion, and a team of motivated guides, Mauve opens the doors of her farm to you on a self-guided tour (every day in summer), along a 1.3km educational trail in the heart of the farm's 10 hectares. A wide range of activities are also on offer, particularly during the summer season, and can be booked in advance: - The Little Farmer's Workshop, where you can become a farmer and caretaker for a day... - Nature walks, where plants and wild animals will hold no secrets for you. - Transhumance aperitif. - Donkey workshop - Milking goats and afternoon snack on the farm - Marai'scape, an outdoor escape-game: Tuesday to Sunday, by prior arrangement. Discover this unique place with the whole family! The Ferme du Marais Poitevin is also a holiday farm, offering you the chance to stay on site to extend your visit.
