Mervent, a motorhome stopover site – Forest in southern Vendée

Flat-rate charge for parking and services (water, black water and grey water disposal): €5 per night Payment method: pay by cheque or cash when an attendant visits. Free parking during the day. The following facilities are available free of charge: - drinking water point - waste water disposal - household waste disposal The motorhome site, open all year round, can accommodate up to 50 vehicles. It is an excellent base from which to explore the largest forest area open to the public in the Vendée, covering more than 5,000 hectares of unspoilt nature. Just a short walk from the site, set off to explore the hiking trails, cycling and mountain-biking routes, and the shores of Lake Mervent. Make the most of the water sports centre for a trip by canoe, kayak, stand-up paddleboard or electric boat; visit the animals at Natur’Zoo; enjoy a family day out at the Pierre Brune Leisure Park; or treat yourself to the village’s restaurants and shops. Walking and cycling routes are available on the Vendée Marais Poitevin Tourist Office website. https://www.vendee-maraispoitevin.com/ Bike hire available all year round. GROUP ACCOMMODATION On request, the local council can accommodate groups of motorhome travellers, up to 100 vehicles, and offer additional services such as the provision of meeting rooms, marquees or various items of equipment (tables, etc.) suitable for organising gatherings.
