La Gravée holiday cottage, a traditional house in southern Vendée, is situated in Saint-Michel-le-Cloucq, a small, very quiet village just a few kilometres from Fontenay-le-Comte. Awarded 3 stars, it can comfortably accommodate 4 people.
On the ground floor, you will find a living room with a fireplace, a separate, fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom (160 cm bed) with its own en-suite shower room, a utility room and a bathroom.
Upstairs, you will find a bedroom (140 cm bed) and a mezzanine bedroom (2 x 120 cm beds), particularly suitable for children.

Three garden seating areas are thoughtfully arranged to allow you to enjoy the outdoors as the sun moves across the sky. Sun loungers are available.
You’ll be on the edge of the Mervent-Vouvant Forest, the largest forest in the Vendée, a destination for numerous horse rides, walks, bike rides and mountain bike trails, and close to the Marais Poitevin, which you can explore by boat, bike or mountain bike.
You can easily reach the forest on foot, by bike or by mountain bike via the cycle path near the gîte.
The southern Vendée is a region steeped in history, as evidenced by the Romanesque churches, the abbeys of Nieul-sur-l’Autize and Maillezais, the towns of Fontenay-le-Comte and Luçon, and the charming little towns such as Vouvant and Foussais.
You’ll be spending your holidays in the Vendée, the ultimate coastal region. The Atlantic coast and its fine sandy beaches, stretching from Pointe de l’Aiguillon-sur-Mer to La Tranche-sur-Mer, La Rochelle, Les Sables-d’Olonne and the islands of Ré, Aix and Oléron, are all within easy driving distance.
You’ll be able to visit famous attractions such as Puy du Fou, Futuroscope, the aquariums in La Rochelle or Talmont, and the town of the famous Cognac.
