There are a number of explanatory panels along the way to help you discover the historic centre step by step. The clear, accessible texts make it easy to understand the history of the town and its major transformations. As you stroll along, you’ll plunge back into the heyday of the Renaissance, a period when Fontenay-le-Comte shone far beyond the borders of the Vendée!
